HeyOlé was born from a simple truth — one I realized after styling my daughter’s hair nearly every day with store-bought ties that didn’t hold. They were too flimsy. Too tight. Not thick enough. They pulled her strands and left her asking me to take them out.

As a founder and mother raising a daughter with textured hair, I wanted better — pieces that hold strong, wear comfortably, and last.

The name HeyOlé is rooted in Haitian Creole — from “Ale,” meaning to move forward.
